Amy Smart has been a model, actress, and a former American. She was born in California USA, Amy Smart started her modeling career in California. Her Costly Affair, a 1996 TV film which was her first film performance. After a difficult fight to get a part, she was offered a role as 'Starship Troopers' in the film Starship Troopers. It was difficult for her to transition into acting since actors were never considered an actor, so they usually got small parts. Amy was determined to keep trying. She worked her way up to greater roles, starting in The 70s series and Varsity Blues film. She then ventured into the lead roles in the 2005 romantic comedy Just Friends which also starred Ryan Reynolds. Amy finally got the recognition she'd been seeking for over a decade. She went on doing some important films, including the Crank series opposite Jason Statham and the series Shameless in which she was a well loved recurring character.
